Karlye Ambrozic is a DONA International certified Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Placenta Specialist. She also provides Reiki Therapy, and hosts ritual events such as Mother Blessings and Red Tent Ceremonies.
Karlye's passion in holistic health started with her Bachelors of Science from Metropolitan State University of Denver. There she studied Integrative Health Care, minoring in Health Care Management. Her educational blend of Eastern and Western medicine allows a more comprehensive understanding when healing the body, mind and spirit. She plans to continue her education as a Certified Professional Midwife to further her impact on improving maternal health outcomes in the United States.
With over 8 years of professional experience in the Health field, Karlye has worked alongside an array of Physicians, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists, Herbalists, and Nurse Practitioners many who specialize in women's reproductive health and pediatric care. Through community outreach, education, and shadowing numerous Providers she has come to understand and appreciate the beautifully complex nature of the human body. It was her Mentor's guidance that taught her to better understand her own body in a new light, take charge of her reproductive healing, and instilled a deeper purpose to support others through their unique health journeys.
Now, her professional training has led her to become a Certified Doula, which is Latin for 'female servant'. She provides unconditional physical, emotional, and educational support before, during, and after childbirth to help those achieve healthier and more satisfying transitions. It is her passion to guide families through inner exploration, reflection, and resourcefulness, so they may bring forth the courage and resilience that resides deep within. It is outside of her scope to provide medical direction, as she works to compliment the care provided by Midwives and Doctors.
Raised in the City of Centennial, she is your typical Coloradan enjoying the great outdoors. Backpacking, fly fishing, gardening, yoga on the rocks, hosting community gatherings, and traveling to see live music with her husband.
